This year, our theme “Lost & Found” speaks to both the heartbreak and the hope that define our field right now.
Across the country, theatres have lost vital institutional and governmental support. The NEA’s shifting priorities and the lingering effects of the pandemic have shuttered or silenced many new play incubators. For us, that loss is deeply personal. It has meant cancelled grants, tighter budgets, and harder choices. It has reminded us how fragile (and how precious!) the ecosystem of new play development truly is.
And yet, look at what we’ve found:

• We’ve found hope in the stories that still insist on being told.
• We’ve found our voices in community, in laughter and risk, in gathering again around scripts that surprise us.
• We’ve found connection in McCall: in classrooms, rehearsal rooms, and in audiences who remind us why theatre matters.
• We’ve found that even when resources are scarce, creativity is not.

This December, as we look toward the 2026 Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, we invite you to help us transform what’s been lost into what can be found. Every dollar raised sustains the playwrights, directors, actors, and students who will bring new stories to life next June, free and open to the public, as always.
In a time when so much has been taken from the arts, we choose to double down on what we’ve found: hope, voice, community, and creativity. 
That’s the real treasure of Seven Devils, and, with your help, it’s one we’ll keep finding together

Make an In-Kind Donation

Did you know that nearly 1/3rd of our annual budget is covered by in-kind donations? Whether you've got a ream a paper or a secret stash of unused air miles, we are grateful for your support!

Below is a list of stuff we could use, but if you've got something not on this list that you think we might be able to use, just shoot us an email!

• Airline Miles – Even if you don’t have enough to cover the full cost of a ticket, we may be able to make good use those air miles.
• Housing - Each year we need housing for artists for two weeks in McCall, Idaho. They're great house guests - you don't have to feed them or entertain them... in fact, they'll entertain you!
• Storage Space in McCall, Idaho.
• Car Service/Airport Shuttle – Have a discount, a coupon, a car? Especially useful for artists traveling from NYC, CA or other major urban areas.
• Car Rentals – Have a discount? Have a connection with a rental company?
• Laptop Computers – These can be especially helpful for student playwrights! They don't have to be new or fancy- just something to write on so they can work on their own.
• I.T. Support - We're always looking to upgrade our systems and increase productivity. We are especially interested in the following software: Filemaker, or other database management software.
• Laser Printers - Color or Black & White.
• Printer Paper
• Office Supplies - We always need pens, pencils, highlighters, hole punches, paper clips, etc.
• Rehearsal/Office Space - Space is getting tight in McCall, and we have anywhere from two to four plays rehearsing every day!
• Discounts Discounts Discounts - if you have a business (restaurant, store, coffee place) in McCall, we can always use your support in the form of a free meal, a store discount, a cup of coffee, bike rental, ice cream cone, massage- you name it!
• Food - We supply food for our artists at the theater (it only seems fair), so we love donations of foods, snacks, and beverages. We love food!

Volunteer Your Services

• Concessions - sign up to provide and serve snacks at one of our Seven Devils events.
•  Professional Services  - are you an accountant, graphic designer, event producer or fundraiser?
